San, aka Princess Mononoke, was taken in by a pair of Wolf animal Gods. Raised as one of their own, fighting for their causes. What's not to love?
San gets to hang out in a medieval Japanese forest, with the spirits of the forest, and wage war against the people who are too preoccupied on their own advancement to give a toss about anything else.
She’s spirited, bad ass and knows how to fight.
Oh, and she gets to ride on Moro (one of the giant wolf gods) and cut all the things.
Seriously, what’s not to love?
(Plus I have a serious soft spot for wolves)
